Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon 2017 · 8 October 2017 ·

Many children and young people know little about the countryside and rural way of life. Its programme of educational initiatives will introduce them, and their teachers, to the beauty, importance and diversity of our rural heritage, inspiring them to become passionate about its future and protect it for future generations.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Casting for Recovery UK & Ireland is a flagship project of The Countryside Alliance Foundation, a charity dedicated to increasing access to our countryside and helping as many people as possible appreciate the beauty and possibilities of the countryside of the UK & Ireland.

Casting for Recovery provides an opportunity for women whose lives have been profoundly affected by breast cancer to gather on an all-expenses paid retreat at a stunning venue to learn the beautiful art of fly fishing. Just as importantly, the retreats offer an opportunity to meet new friends, share stories, support others and, crucially, have fun.

I've been volunteering with this wonderful charity for the past two years and am passionate about the positive impact it has on women's lives. This is my second half marathon, your support is greatly appreciated to help Casting for Recovery to continue and grow their brilliant work.
