In 2014 my wife and I watched a good friend, neighbour and cycling buddy begin his battle with Hodgkin Lymphoma. We saw the illness take hold of his and his families lives and the battle they faced in overcoming this terrible illness. We offered a shoulder to cry on and support where we could but really little more than a friendly face during what must have been the darkest times of their lives.

Now four years on, Mark is cancer free, part of a happy family, in the prime of his life, a Bloodwise ambassador and all round sickeningly good role model to many. A shining example of why investment in Cancer research is worthwhile.

So having witnessed the effect Bloodwise make to real lives and the unbelievably positive  outcomes that actually happen, i'm proud to be part of the 200 strong peleton riding from London to Paris and to raise vital funding for this life saving charity.
