Sleep Out 2012 - London · 8 November 2012 ·

Centrepoint is the UK’s leading youth homeless charity. Together with our partners, we support over 16,000 16-25 year olds into a home and a job every year. Our award-winning helpline provides support to vulnerable young people across the country. We campaign to end youth homelessness by 2037.

Story

So. In celebration of the fact I am turning 40 3 days before, and to help a mighty fine cause, I am going to sleep outside, in the freezing cold with just a giant jiffy bag and a whole load of strangers to keep me warm on the 8th November! (so just a normal Thursday night then, I hear you ask.....!?)

Not quite - along with colleagues at UKTV we have created a team to help raise funds for Centrepoint, who do amazing things for homeless kids and young people, helping them set a path in life that they would never have had the chance to do before. By nipping homelessness in the bud they can help ensure that these kids don't end up on the streets for years to come.

As you may know I LOVE my bed and can't express how much I am dreading it! BUT, in the words of Robbie and Kylie, i'm doing it for the kids, so if you can spare the price of a birthday drink to sponsor my (by then) 40 year old bones to suffer a freezing night in November in said jiffy bag then please do! I promise I won't moan about how much I was aching/freezing/sleep deprived all the way up to Christmas....(well not much anyway!)

Thanking you in advance

Cat xx
