Story

As-salaamu alaykum,

This May in shaa Allah, Myself and Hani will be going on a hike in Catbells with Islamic Relief to raise life-saving funds for Yemen.

After years of intense conflict, Yemen is now struggling with one of the worst humanitarian crises in decades. Right now, there are more people in need of humanitarian aid in Yemen than there are in any other country in the world. Out of a population of 30 million, over 24 million people are relying on humanitarian aid to survive, with 13.5 million people (over 40% of the population) at risk of starvation. With around 75% of the population live below the poverty line, Islamic Relief is working with communities across Yemen during their hour of need.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said “Sadaqah extinguishes sin as water extinguishes fire” (Hadith, Tirmidhi). He also said that Allah offers relief on the Day of Judgement for those who give sadaqa: “The believer’s shade on the Day of Resurrection will be their charity” (Hadith, Tirmidhi).

Any donation you make, even one that’s as little as £5, could help change someone’s life immensely.

So please, join us in helping the people of Yemen by donating and sharing our page with your family and friends.

May Allah (swt) reward you all for your generosity and kindness.

Jazak Allah khair

Hani, AbdulRahman
