Marie Curie supported my uncle and his family during his illness several years ago, the care they received was a great help and a comfort during what was a difficult time. In speaking to friends about my intention to raise money for Marie Curie several revealed that they had also received support or care from Marie Curie for family members. They too praised the wide-ranging of their work. 

In my friendship group there are family members with Alzheimer's and untreatable cancers. My aunt is also struggling with life changing illness. On April 26th 2020 I'll be running for these all people, and for their families, to ensure they can access the support they need.
