Story
As a vascular surgeon, I see every day the impact of vascular disease on patients. I work with a fantastic team at York Hospital, UK, and am keen to raise money for Ward 11, our vascular ward, and the Circulation Foundation, which is the national charity for vascular patients.
My challenge involves cycling 360Km through Northern Tanzania over a week, camping in the bush, and being exposed to the wilderness of Africa. I'm paying for the cost of the trip, and all my expenses, so every penny that you give goes to the charity.
I am really grateful for any donation you can give to support me, and these two very worthy causes, one local, one national. I'm in training, and as one of my friends reassuringly told me, you don't need to be able to cycle faster than a lion, just faster than at least one other person in the group!
Many thanks JAMBO!!
