Reading Half Marathon 2012 · 1 April 2012 ·

Small Steps supports young children with physical disabilities from London and beyond. We teach parents of children with cerebral palsy and other forms of motor and sensory impairment, to help their child maximise their independence. Small Steps is 100% charity funded and our sessions are free.

Story

On April Fool's Day (my, how apt), I'm running the  Reading Half Marathon. I'd like to raise funds for the Small Steps school in Putney, who help children aged 0-5 with cerebral palsy or similar motor/sensory impairment to develop the kind of skills (walking, listening, sitting up) which are essential to life. Critically, the school also helps parents care for their children in the best way. The school - which my niece, Sofia, attends - receives no government funding.

If you would like to sponsor me to run the Reading Half Marathon, all funds raised will go to this incredibly worthwhile organization.

NB: requests to run in a gorilla suit (or similar) in return for donation will be ignored ... I love my niece, but not that much.
