Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Debbie and I are running the GNR to raise money for a small parent-led charity called ACT.

My daughter Avnee was seriously ill when she was two and had to have a tracheostomy for a year.  Our life changed overnight as a family, suddenly needing to become experts in caring for a very sick child with a tracheostomy.  We were helped enormously by the practical support from ACT and for me personally it was a lifeline to be able to pick up the phone and talk to other Mum's who had been there and done that!  Fortunately Avnee had her tracheostomy removed after one year and is a beautiful, vibrant young girl.

Debbie and I are looking forward to the race (well not so much of a race for us as simply completing it!) and are grateful for your support.  Believe me every pound really does make a massive difference to this charity.
