We give support to vulnerable families to improve children's wellbeing

Story

2022 marks the year I will be turning 70. I wanted to do something memorable to mark the occasion, as well as raise money for a charity I have supported for a long time which does amazing work with local Sussex families.

During 2022 I will be visiting all 43 Anglican cathedrals in England and attending a service at each one. I have worshipped in a number of cathedrals over the years, but there are many that I have never visited, and I very much want this to be a pilgrimage. I will join in a range of services, whether it is all-age worship on a Sunday morning, early morning Holy Communion or a choral Evensong. I will enjoy the worship, the history, the amazing cathedral buildings and meeting people as I travel around. To help focus and raise some funds for FSW will be an added bonus! I am aiming to raise £1500 with this challenge, which will pay for 2 weeks of intensive support for 25 families who are struggling to cope and have no other source of help.

I will be updating this page throughout my pilgrimage with photos, information about each cathedral and interesting information I discover. I do hope that you will enjoy following my progress, and hopefully feel motivated to make a donation!
