We offer support and fund research to improve the lives of those with PSP/CBD

Story

My friend Andy Copp died on 29th April 2018, just two years after being diagnosed with Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD). CBD is a rare, progressive, neurological disorder which leaves the sufferer unable to balance, walk, eat, swallow and drink. It is a cruel disease for which there is no cure.

When Andy's wife Elizabeth - with whom I have been friends for over 50 years - told me that she, her sister Eileen Bevan and friend Jane Sim were planning to do a trek on Hadrian's wall in Andy's memory and to raise money for the PSP Association, I knew immediately that I wanted to join them. The charity had provided invaluable support to Elizabeth and Andy during his illness and it also helps to fund much-needed research into CBD and PSP, a similar progressive neurological condition.

I will be to joining Elizabeth, Eileen and Jane on the trek in September and have set myself a fundraising target of £600. Anything you can contribute to this will go directly to PSPA to help their work.

Thank you so much for reading this and for your help

Cath

We aim to improve the lives of everyone affected by PSP and CBD. We rely entirely on voluntary donations, and that's why we need your support.
