On Sunday 26th April I was due to run the London marathon for Mind, in memory of my sister Emma and Kingston Hospital Charity for the wellbeing of staff. 

As the marathon has been postponed we are taking the chance this Sunday to keep running for my amazing work colleagues, at Kingston Hospital, who are facing unprecedented times right now due to the Covid-19 pandemic.  

Personally I know how valuable support is of emotional wellbeing at work and having faced the unimaginable I will be forever grateful  to my managers, amazing colleagues and help provided to keep me well at work and home. I want to use this run to say a big thank you and hope to support others at work.

Benj has seen the support that I have received from Kingston Hospital and knows that running has been my therapy. He is a keen runner and has been my rock and coach getting me out training even if I haven’t felt like it. 

So this Sunday, the 26th April, Ben and I will run a marathon between us, Ben undertaking the first half and myself to complete the final half.  I will be slower but he and the kids will cheer me on! We will use our 1 hour activity time to run as far as we can outside and complete the rest of our half marathons in the garden - aiming to complete  the London marathon in Molesey (Sorry Ben we won’t beat your 2014 time!) 

I will train as hard as I can over the summer and hope that on the October 4th 2020 I pull on my trainers for Mind in memory of my  beautiful sister Emma.  

I know Kingston Hospital is committed to the wellbeing of staff and we hope this money can help in future developments.   🌈💕🌈   Any donation will help the hospital to do more to support others so thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
