Story
Firstly thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, it really means allot that you will sponsor me.
I'm James Roberts and I am 11 years old and I live in Germany.
My end of Primary project is to look at the United Nations Global Goals and ask the Question what do I believe in? “ I believe that every child in the world should have the right to an education and loving home. Focusing on Hope Community Village, Kerala in India.”.
I'm lucky. I have a loving family, a home, I go to school every day and have everything I need. A lot of children in India don't have this and I saw this for myself when I went on holiday with my family to Kerala in India. We visited Hope Community Village and saw what they provide for children in need.
Hope provides a long term family home for children and an education so they can become independent young adults.
I would like to help the children of Hope Community Village by raising money for them and let as many people as I know what Hope is all about so they can maybe help them.
It starts with one person like John Veitch, the founder of Hope and building the first bungalow for 10 children and a house mother. Now there are 6 bungalows and during the past 22 years they have raised 120 children.
If you would like to find out more about the charity please visit their website.
When and where will I be starting my marathon?
Because of the coronavirus I have had to think of a safe way to raise money for Hope Village. I am going to do this by running a half marathon in my garden over 11 days, starting on Wednesday 13th May.I will post updates on here.
Thank you again for taking the time to donate to Hope and reading this.
James
