Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I've chosen to donate to and raise money for Combat Stress – a charity that helps veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, which is a cause close to my heart. It generally gets scant coverage in the media. But during the centenary of the WWI armistice last year, PTSD (or 'shell shock' as it was initially known) was the subject of various programmes raising awareness that it's still very much a reality today for many ex-servicemen and women.

In 2004 I wrote a song about the Christmas Truce of 1914. In 2014, friends asked me to upload it to YouTube for the centenary of the truce. It's since had 12,000 views, so I decided to try and do some good with it.

Those who know me are aware I'm not much for Christmas conventions. And those who know me as a songwriter know it makes me very uncomfortable putting my songs out there. So here goes.

If you'd like to listen to the song, click here

If you'd like to download it (free) you'll find it here

If you feel able, please give a little something (JustGiving's minimum is £1). You can donate in a variety of currencies and you won't be charged any currency fees.

Thank you! I wish you a peaceful Christmas.
