The Romanian Foyer Trust provides opportunities for 18 to 24 yr olds excluded from mainstream society in North West Romania. It provides accommodation, access to education, training and work and help to develop life skills. Many of the young people who come to us are from the State Children's Homes.

Story

This summer I'll be trekking 48 miles through the mountains of Muramures in northern Romania a to raise money for The Romanian Foyer Trust.

I'm going with a friend from work, Lucie (a good thing) and we'll be living rough (camping, no toilets - a less good thing!). We need to raise £1000 each before we go...so please sponsor me!

Here's where you money will go:

The Foyer works mainly  with young people who have grown up in state-run children's homes and are without family or other means of support. Without our help, these kids are in danger of resorting to a life on the streets with no chance of future security. A place in the Foyer costs £2100 per year for each young person - they teach and give support in everyday living skills and social behaviour, training for work, help with finding and keeping a job.

All donations are very gratefully received - thank you :)
