Most people know the story by now; May 21st 2015 we thought our world was going to collapse - we were told our twin babies had to arrive there and then to have any chance at all -  nobody was prepared to reassure me it would be ok; but that’s hardly surprising- They were far too early! They  weren’t due until August 14th. Born at 1lb 9 and 1lb 10 we had a long old slog, starting in Bolton …then Lancaster then a merry go round of visits at home from physios, dieticians, health visitors etc.  Hour by hour then day by day before it became week by week … we watched them battle, survive and then thrive. This was due to the excellent care they received and research supported by charities such as Bliss. Bliss supports families and funds research to help those babies born sick or premature. 

Fast forward to 2022 my Stanley and Arthur are clever, funny, kind and the most considerate loving boys I could wish for.  Suffering no Ill effects. We are beyond forever grateful for the efforts of those who got them here so we want to give something back. Plus it’s a good incentive to get fit again n lose the wobble  after too many lockdown happy hours…. !
