This summer, Jacob and Henry, are taking on the Alder Hey Summer Challenge by completing 43 miles over the summer holidays. Whether they’re walking, scooting, running or cycling, they’re determined to reach their goal while raising money for a hospital that means the world to our family.

Alder Hey has been there for the family during some of the most difficult times. Very recently, they saved my niece’s (their cousin) life after she went into septic shock, spending 54 days in their care, as well as showing great care for her through numerous heart surgeries since she was a baby. They have also operated on Jacob last year and cared for other members of our family, as well as the children of close friends.

The care, compassion and expertise shown by everyone at Alder Hey is something we will never forget. This challenge is our way of giving something back to the incredible team who have helped so many families, including ours.
