Story

Thanks for taking the time to read about our fundraising for NSPCC, 2021!

2021/2021 was a year that zapped the fun out of a lot of things. Often including our, and our children's enthusiasm and sense of fun. This summer, the NSPCC wants to 'get the nation PLAYING again', and is launching it's very first flagship day: Childhood Day!

Childline, the NSPCC's free-to-use counselling service, has been, and continues to be, there to support children and young people. It has counselled more than 60,000 children and young people UK-wide around mental health related concerns alone since the first national lockdown, as well as more than 20,000 sessions about suicidal thoughts and feelings.

So, we are kicking off the summer with a reminder to celebrate play; as a tool towards better mental, and physical, health.

As a family, we will be hosting two 'play' events to fundraise for NSPCC this Childhood Day, and we would love you to join in and donate! On Saturday the 22nd May 2021, we will be spending all day in various fancy dress outfits and playing garden games. On Childhood Day itself, Friday 11th June 2021, we will be dressing up again, in whatever we fancy and hosting a mini disco - because dress up and dance is our favourite way to play; what's yours?

Join in, donate what you can, and let's make play a priority, while supporting NSPCC to be here for children. Thank you!

Last summer, we made '26 isolation creations' in support of NSPCC. If you want some inspiration for play, or crafting with your little ones, check out all 26, rounded up in my blog, here:
