I'm taking part in the Virtual 14 Day Challenge for University Hospitals Birmingham Charity to support patients who are being treated within the hospitals and also the staff who care for them. I hope that you will consider supporting me as the money raised will make such a difference, especially at this challenging time when live events are quite rightly being cancelled and postponed.The need for the Charity to still raise money continues, patients and staff still need state of the art lifesaving equipment, research still needs to be funded and undertaken and those added extras which make a patient's stay in hospital more comfortable still need to be purchased. The charity has also stepped up its support in the area of staff welfare to respond to requests of those working in these difficult times at the hospital. 

As I am now working from home rather than get out of bed an hour later I am going to use my commute time to get out for a run and take on running a marathon in 14 days.   It may not seem a big distance but for someone who takes 6 days to work up to going a 3 mile run to get my backside out of the door each day for this many days may be quite a challenge.  I've also lost the ability to run with my running buddy, Di,  who helps drag me out once a week.  By doing this I hope that people might be able to donate (maybe the price of that takeaway coffee you'll no longer get or your train fare for the week that you are no longer using).   Please consider helping me to support our local hospitals and  support my Virtual 14 Day Challenge.
