Story
Stratford half marathon on may 13th!! That’s the new date!! Slightly flatter course with some stunning views of Stratford :)
So, as you all know, I like to challenge myself, I ran the 2 castles 10k last year after basically no training, post surgery and illness, and I still did it. This year, I’m challenging myself even more!! As much as i said I would never run again, the little voice inside my head said, you can do it... so to make myself find it even harder to back out of it, I’ve decided to run it for charity!! As a paediatric nurse, I see a lot of sick children.
This particular charity provides a little something extra, something that they can focus on, something they can achieve, something they can enjoy as a family, making the memories matter and count. And that’s what I’m going to focus on. These children go through so much and continue to smile, they continue to show grit and determination, despite the pain they are in. The just keep going. I am going to find this challenge particularly hard as I’m in no way a runner. But I’m going to try. I’m going to give it my all. I WILL struggle but I WILL get to the end, even if I have to walk it. I WILL do this for them.
Please donate and support me; I will post updates on my training, let’s do this, for them!!

Make-A-Wish UK grant magical wishes to enrich the lives of children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions. Granting their wish provides seriously ill children with hope for the future, strength to cope and resilience to fight their condition. They’re given quality time away from the daily realities of living with their condition and given the chance to make magical memories they can treasure forever – whatever their future may hold. We want to transform the lives of 1,000 children this year by granting their One True Wish!
