Refuge support 3,000 women and children escaping domestic violence on any given day through a range of life-saving and life-changing services.
Refuge are committed to a world where domestic violence is not tolerated or ignored.
A year ago, with much support from you, I participated in my first Walk4 Refuge. Many of you were with me during recovery as I regained my footing in a world that simply didn't feel safe to me anymore. Your belief in me meant everything, and I am still so grateful.
This year, I'm walking for survivor Allison Smith. Ally is one of the most compassionate and brilliant women I know, and a friend who I love beyond words. Still early in her own recovery, I would like to ask that any messages of encouragement on this page be written for her.
My goal is to raise £120, enough to cover two nights of emergency accommodation for women and children escaping domestic abuse and violence. Please support Refuge by sponsoring me today - because there are so many others still to help. But I implore you to only help if you can.
If anyone reading this is in need of help, acknowledge it, reach out, don't hesitate, please. It gets better. To everyone else, please amplify our voices and don't shy away from the conversation. It is still so necessary.
