Well guess what? I enjoyed the Thames Path Mighty Hike so much that I didn't want to wait a full year to do it all over again...so I signed up for this one! As many of you already know, raising money for cancer charities has been a priority ever since my own diagnosis 21 years ago. Since then, I've made a full recovery but many people haven't been so lucky including my own mother who succumbed to cancer 10 years ago. Since that point, all of my fundraising efforts have been made in her memory (please check out the In Memory page for Robin Wiles linked to this event). I do anticipate this hike to be trickier than the last one, being hilly rather than flat. But I'm definitely up for the challenge! My last hike received overwhelming support on the fundraising front so I am reluctant to push this one quite so hard for fear of applying too much pressure. In fact, I am fully prepared to donate the minimum pledge of £250 myself if need be. However, I've created this page just in case any of you would particularly like to make a contribution to this cause. If so, I am especially grateful. The generosity of friends, family and even complete strangers toward my fundraising efforts so far has been truly unbelievable and I will never take it for granted! Thank you everyone! Truly!
