Creating a New Cattery Appeal · 9 October 2013

Animals in Distress cares for and re-homes hundreds of unwanted animals every year. We are passionate about the welfare of the animals in our charge and always treat them with dignity and kindness. We are committed to keeping them healthy and secure until they find their new, forever homes.

Story

Every year, Animals in Distress takes in hundreds of unwanted domestic cats and provides them with food, shelter and veterinary care whilst we look for their new, forever homes.

The number of cats on our waiting list continues to increase and our facilities are struggling to cope with the wear and tear.  It has become clear that to continue to provide the highest possible welfare for the cats in our care, we must build a new cattery at our Rescue Centre in Ipplepen.

The specially designed new cattery building will make for happier, healthier cats for the duration of their time with us.  They will also be able to enjoy a new landscaped cat garden which will be a secure place for them to play and explore.  It really will be the best possible environment for these cats who are in such need of love and care.

But to achieve all of this, we urgently need the public’s help.
