This year, I'll be running the Great South Run to raise money for the NSPCC.

Every day the NSPCC receives nearly 200 calls from people worried about the children in their lives. Roughly one third of those calls results in action to protect those children.

The NSPCC provides a helpline which is available 7 days a week, and the staf on the end of the line are able to offer advice, guidance and support. They can also action direct assistance if a child is at risk or is being abused.

Donations to this invaluable charity can make the difference to many, many young lives.
