Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are 4 members of the Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team, a charity in South Wales who are fundraising for another cause.

A few months ago, the Chairman of our Team, Peter Howells, was sadly diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. Peter has devoted over 50 years of his life to mountain rescue: giving his time freely to save the lives of many people lost or injured in the Brecon Beacons and communities of South Wales. Peter is currently undergoing chemotherapy to give him as much time with his family and, like many people in his situation, is losing his hair. So, we’ve decided, in tribute to him, to have our heads shaved for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Myself along with Richard Terrell, Lee Faulkner and Kevin Windmill will be shaving our heads on Thursday, 1st October at around 7 pm.

Thank you for taking the time to donate – your money will help Macmillan Cancer Support to ensure that no one faces cancer alone.
