The Rory Peck Trust provides practical & financial support to freelance journalists and their families worldwide, assisting in times of crisis and helping them work more safely and professionally. We do this through assistance grants, our training fund, and online resources, as well as our Awards.

Story

May 29th 2019 will mark the 13th anniversary of the killing of CBS News cameraman Paul Douglas and soundman James Brolan in a terrorist bombing in Baghdad.  After the ‘boys’ were killed we made a promise that we would never forget them.

This year we remember ‘the boys’ with a 24-hour walkathon which will be streamed live around the world.  As well as remembering ‘the boys’ we will be raising money for the only charity in the world that cares for freelance journalists and media workers, the Rory Peck Trust
