British 10K London Run 2013 · 14 July 2013 ·

The Rory Peck Trust provides practical & financial support to freelance journalists and their families worldwide, assisting in times of crisis and helping them work more safely and professionally. We do this through assistance grants, our training fund, and online resources, as well as our Awards.

Story

Breaking the habit of a lifetime to celebrate two lives tragically lost, friends and colleagues of Paul Douglas and James Brolan are entering the 10K (6.2 mile) London run on July 14th.

The intent is to remember our friends and to benefit the Rory Peck Trust, renowned for its support of freelance journalists operating in many of the world’s most dangerous places.  Paul and James were killed by a roadside bomb in Baghdad while on assignment for CBS News.  Your support will honour their memory and inspire an unlikely band of unfit runners, many of whom have signed on despite specific instructions to the contrary from their doctors, partners and local publicans.
