Story

My friends, Elly and Sam, are parents of Mikaere (Kai), who was born with Nonketotic Hyperglycinemia (NKH), a rare metabolic disorder with no cure and limited treatment options.

I'm running a marathon mostly because I'm awesome but also to raise money for Joseph's Goal, the UK's only NKH charity.

If you sponsor a kilometre and donate £20, I’ll have reached my goal by the time I’ve run the marathon.

There are lots of deserving charities, this one has a direct impact on changing the lives of people close to me, all donations will go to Joseph's Goal, the UK's only NKH charity, and make a real difference.

More information about Mikaere at www.teammikaere.com and on instagram @teammikaere.  For more information about NKH visit www.foundationnkh.org
