Story
Hello, thank you for visiting my page!
You are probably here because you've heard rumour of me running the marathon (or because I've started my email bombardment and you're one of the lucky recipients!) so, once again, thanks - I'm delighted you're here!
Well, the rumour is true; I did indeed bag a place in this year's marathon - sometimes I feel lucky about that, other times it fills me with terror - but regardless, I'm going to give it a shot and hopefully raise some cash for Age Concern (Lambeth) in the process. I've chosen Lambeth as it's where I live and, by specifying a particular area, it means the money actually goes to helping elderly people on the ground. It's a charity that does brilliant and diverse work to make the lives of elderly people happier, easier and more enjoayble, so is very worthy of support. Plus, we're all going to be old one day!
I know you'll get asked to sponsor people a lot and it's hard to say yes to everyone but, if you could spare a few pennies or pounds, it would be very much appreciated. Or, if you can't, perhaps you could just come along and cheer me on - and maybe throw bananas and jelly babies at me as I trudge past you... Or a beer at the end - either/ or; I'm not fussy ;)
I'm aiming to get round within 4.5 hours and, if you want to be clever and work out where you might see me, check out the spectator page: http://www.virginlondonmarathon.com/marathon-centre/2010-virgin-london-marathon-information/2010-2010-virgin-london-marathon-information/.
Thank you very much for any support you can give!
Ce xx
PS My target is £26.2 per mile, in case you were wondering.
