Hello everyone. Thank you for taking the time to read my story.

I am Anne, Activity Coordinator at Cedar Lodge, a charity run care home providing residential, nursing  and residential dementia care for up to 47 residents.

Due to covid-19 we have been unable to hold any events whereby we raise money for our amenity fund. This pays for entertainment,  goodies, trips, celebrations and events to enable our residents to live a happy and active life.

We have also been unable to welcome  into Cedar Lodge the many entertainers, musicians and visitors that enhance our residents lives.

We are looking to purchase a touchscreen interactive table specially designed for care homes. They are portable and life size, allowing them to be easily moved from room to room with many apps pre-installed providing a mixture of fun, learning, music, film, nostalgia, sensory and digital board games.

The added benefit is that they can be used to communicate with loved ones via WhatsApp, Zoom FaceTime etc - lifesize visual communication for our residents to keep in touch, see and talk to their loved ones through technology.

We have started our fund raising with a Christmas and Easter raffle and I have completed a sponsored half marathon  with my daughter, Becki, which we ran on May 29th. We started and finished at Cedar Lodge, very hilly, but we made it.
