Aspire Channel Swim 2020 · 5 October 2020 to 30 June 2021 ·

Every two hours someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. It can happen to anyone at any time and no one is prepared for how it will change their life. Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help, supporting spinal cord injured people from injury to independence.

Story

I'm taking on the Aspire Channel Swim 2020, swimming the distance of the English Channel over 12 weeks to raise money for Aspire.  Every four hours someone is paralysed by Spinal Cord Injury and Aspire provides the essential equipment, advice and housing that spinal cord injured sufferers need to live their lives independently.

To make this a personal challenge for me, I am going to swim the distance of the English Channel .... AND BACK!!

That's 44 miles - 2,832 lengths of the pool in 12 weeks.

Good job I like the smell of chlorine :)

This is a big challenge, so the more I raise, the more it will encourage me to "just keep swimming" and the more of a difference I'll make to Aspire, so please help if you can.
