We are a local charity serving residents in and around south Islington, London. From our community centre, as well as in the community, we provide and host a wide range of services that improve the quality of life for local people making south Islington a better place to live, work, learn and play.

Story

Can you help us bring a bit of summer colour to our street?

With beautiful flower displays on every streetlight, we can make Central Street, Islington look amazing this summer – a promenade of flowers!

Everyone loves a good flower display, not in the least the local wildlife, businesses, their customers, and local residents. We want to line Central Street with flowers, all the way from City Road down to Old Street.

The baskets will be professionally maintained by a specialist firm to ensure they look good all summer long.

St Luke's Community Centre is there to improve everybody's quality of life in our neighbourhood. Whether through summer festivals, helping people find a job, teaching kids to cook, or helping older people with day-to-day issues. Bringing flowers to everybody's life is just one small part of making our area a better place to live, work learn and play.

Each basket costs £100 and there are around 50 lamp posts - every little bit towards this amount helps. Please be generous.
