Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have decided to totally go out my comfort zone and take part in my first 10K on Sunday 30th September 2018.
I am fundraising from the British Lung Foundation because sadly last September my dad Paul Wilson passed away suddenly from IPF.
IPF is also known as Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.
Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a condition that causes progressive scarring of the lungs and currently the scarred lung tissue cannot be changed back to healthy tissue. If you think of a normal set of lungs which are like sponges but a person with IDF; their lungs are turning to stone and this reduces the efficiency of breathing.
Idiopathic means the cause is unknown and there is no current cure for this. So by raising money for this charity means that research can be undertaken to find a treatment which can help people survive longer with IPF.
All donations will be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
