Story

Cerys LOVES seals. As she likes to tell everyone she meets, she thinks of herself as a “medium-sized grey seal” and we play at being seals every day, which usually involves someone being rescued from a rock. Visiting the Seal Sanctuary in Cornwall is the highlight of her year and she was so disappointed we couldn’t go this year due to Covid-19.

The Seal Sanctuary, like many animal centres around the world right now, is struggling for funds without its lifeline of regular visitors, with no planned end of visiting restrictions.

To help the Seal Sanctuary Cerys is going to walk or run 20km during June (tracked on Strava/Fitbit). She would love your support so the sanctuary can keep on rescuing seals and “buying fish and medicine in a bottle”. She’s thought about it a lot and we’ve agreed that any money she makes will go to the humans running the sanctuary rather than the seals themselves in case they the swallow the coins by mistake!
