Story
I think we can all agree that the NHS have done so much for everyone since lockdown started, way back in March. Putting their own lives on the line to help each and every person who came through the hospital doors, working under conditions that any standard person would struggle to. Some people I know had to leave their children with relatives and didnt see them for weeks and months.
So I've decided to give a little back to NHS Forth Valley. I'm going to run a total of 1083 miles, which is the total distance from Land's End to John O'Groats, the entire length of Britain. Now obviously, its not possible to do this is in a short time. The website that runs the event lets you pick how long you want to take to do it. I've given myself 40 weeks and that means I'll have to run at least 27.1 miles a week every week for the next 10 months. That's going to be some amount of running but I'm going to do it and I'm asking you to help donate. I've set a target of £1083, which works out at just £1 per mile. So dig deep and help me raise money for NHS Forth Valley.
I'm starting tomorrow, 28/7/20 and I'll keep you updated with distance and fill you in on where I am on my run.
