Story
Taking part in this year’s UK Capgemini Million Makers team to raise £10,000 for the Prince’s Trust has been an unforgettable experience.
I’m not going to sugarcoat it, it has been a challenge. There have been ups and downs, lessons learnt, connections formed and memories made.
Throughout this experience, I have grown as a person as well as developing business skills. After unfortunately losing our grand finale event (a gutting experience), I’ve had to dig deep, find resilience and forge a new path to help the team make it to £10k.
I’ve put together an emergency coming home plan to focus on what we have yet to achieve and what that looks like per week and per team member. We’re putting on some great events in the office and also pursuing our own individual challenges. For me, that challenge is taking on a 5k parkrun. Those of you who know me personally will know that I don’t run unless I’m being chased! But, with this excellent cause in mind, I am going to don my running shoes and get training. Yes, there will be some jogging and walking in there as well, but I will achieve it.
With that in mind, if you could spare a few pounds to sponsor me, I’d really appreciate it.
