6th London Legal sponsored walk · 17 May 2010 ·

The London Legal Support Trust supports the work of social welfare legal centres in London and the Home Counties. Funds raised are targeted to assist requests for help from the centres. This financial aid helps the legal centres overcome funding crises, develop new services, support appeals and improve their premises.

Story

Thank you for visiting the Chadbourne & Parke walk team's  fundraising page for the 2010 London Legal sponsored 10km walk on May 17th.

We are raising funds for London Legal Support Trust which funds legal advice charities in and the South East.  These charities do a fantastic job in preventing poverty and challenging exploitation, giving access to justice to Londoners who otherwise could not afford it.  They work to prevent homelessness, stop older people going short of heat or food, help to keep young people from sleeping on the streets, stop destitution, ... and help in many more ways.

Last year, money raised through the walk prevented the closure of 5 legal advice services in London, helped to start law centres in two London Boroughs that don’t have one, helped over 5,000 children assessed as living in poverty in London, prevented over 1,000 families from being made homeless and helped over 50 trafficked women escape from London brothels

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure, and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Please sponsor us now!

Many thanks!
