Story

What a great run! Amidst lightning and torrential rain we set off from Warwick Castle with over 3,000 other runners at around 9am on Sunday morning. Tom got away to a good start and we all were pleased to get going and to get warm. In no time we were under the A46 and into the outskirts of Kenilworth. People had come out to offer us sweets and cheer us on, which was a big boost. Graham couldn't resist a bit of banter with the onlookers and the whole troupe had a carnival atmosphere as we worked our way toward Kenilworth Castle. Crossing the finish was a memorable moment and we soon found our supporters and began the celebrations. All our team finished, with the following times: Tom 48.20; Alan 54 .40; Andrew 1. 05.50; Graham 1. 05.51. (Actually Andrew and Graham finished together). Thank you for all the support and encouragement you've given. As you can see, together we've all managed to raise a lot of money to help build our much-needed Centre. Most pleasingly, over a hundred people have sponsored our team with some even making gifts from places as far away from Warwickshire as you could imagine: New Zealand, Australia and Canada! The encouragement received has given us all a big boost to re-double our efforts to pass our first milestone of raising £100,0000. So please do stay up to date with the St Chad's Centre campaign by visiting http://www.chadscentre.co.uk. Many thanks from us all. Alan, Tom, Graham & Andrew ;)
