Rowans Hospice provides end of life care across South East Hampshire. We help improve quality of life for the patient around the clock. We receive a very small level of Government support and almost all of the money required to provide our services needs to be raised through voluntary giving.

Story

Challenge 41 aims to get as many family and friends together in the coming year to complete 41 challenges in memory of Becky Unwin (Tambling).  We will attempt to try and raise £4100 in aid of The Rowans Hospice where Beckie spent her final few weeks under their expert and loving care.

Beckie was just 41 and is our inspiration to start this challenge to try and raise money for this valuable facility in Purbrook which provides palliative care for our area.

We hope each challenge can try and raise as average of £100 with some raising more and others a bit less but we would like as many people as possible to get involved.  So if you want to run, cycle, shave your head, have a cake sale or have a sponsored diet please let us know and we’ll add you to the list.

We have sponsor forms and a just giving page at to make it easy for everyone to pass on their donations.

We are starting with The Great South Run in October and hope to complete the challenge with The Rowans Ruby Ride which is a year to the day of setting this page up.

Hopefully as many people as possible can’t get involved to spread the challenges and the people we ask to donate as wide as we can.

So get involved and here’s to a year of running and eating cakes.
