Story
On 13th February 2020 I was expecting to have a routine C-section to deliver my son Corey.
Unfortunately this did not go as expected and both Corey and I needed extra care.
As the world was entering the new normal and starting to lockdown, everything was overwhelming for myself and James.
Without the care of the team, in particular the midwifery team, James, Corey and I felt cared for and safe. It is their hard work and care that has supported us through a very difficult time.
Also on 29th May 2014 I was being induced with a very overdue Dexter. As he didn't want to come out we needed an emergency section as he was in distress. We both had some issues that meant an extended stay on the ward. Thanks to the teams quick actions and great aftercare we felt safe and cared for at all times making a very worrying experience a positive one.
We want to challenge ourselves physically and mentally and hope we can raise some money while doing so.
I understand the service is underfunded and looking for support and I know many people who benefit from this service day in day out so please help if you can.
