ChallenGenée is a fundraising initiative supporting the Genée International Ballet Competition; which this year will be held in , with the Finals at Sadler’s Wells Theatre on 21 November 2010.

The Genée offers candidates the unique opportunity to work with and learn from world-renowned dance professionals and choreographers over 5 days of intensive coaching sessions before competing in front of an international panel of distinguished judges chaired by the Academy's president Dame Antoinette Sibley DBE. They also have the chance to perform on the most prestigious international stages, experiencing what the life of a professional dancer is like. At the Final, the judges award the coveted gold, silver and bronze medals to the best dancers on the night who also take home considerable prize money.
