Story

ChallenGenée is a fundraising initiative supporting the Genée International Ballet Competition which will be held in Glasgow, Scotland from 20-29 September 2013, staged by the Royal Academy of Dance in association with Scottish Ballet and the Royal Scottish Conservatoire and with the enthusiastic support of the City of Glasgow.

The Genée offers candidates the unique opportunity to work with and learn from world-renowned dance professionals and choreographers over 5 days of intensive coaching sessions before competing in front of an international panel of distinguished judges. They also have the chance to perform on the most prestigious international stages, experiencing what the life of a professional dancer is like. At the Final, the judges award the coveted gold, silver and bronze medals to the best dancers on the night who also take home considerable prize money.

For more information about the competition, please visit the Genée section of the Royal Academy of Dance website.
