This is a story of a little boy (my nephew) with a rare and severe form of epilepsy, Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome, autism, severe learning difficulties and behavioural challenges. It's about his journey and his fight for hope to overcome this dreaded disease.

My sisters perfect boy ripped away from her/our family by this deadly disease at the tender age of 2.5 years old. He's had to endure so many blood tests, EEGs, MRIs, Drs, therapists, assessments, drugs, drugs and more drugs together with their horrific side effects. 

Andrew is now 10 years old, and is one determined young person, who loves the outdoors, chatting to ANYONE :-) and is a big fan of Skylanders. His tenacity, endurance and beautiful smile keeps the family strong and fighting for a cure. We'll never give up on you our precious boy.

Although their is a personal story behind My Ironman for Challengers, I've seen and heard first hand the PRICELESS impact this INCREDIBLE charity has had on Andrew and his families lives. 

There are many, many more stories of the positive impact Challengers continues to have on so many lives and families and my hope is that through my efforts we get to shine a light on Challengers, make an IMPACT and CHANGE lives one-Ironman-mile at a time!
