Story

Thank you for visiting my justgiving page, here's a little bit about what I'm doing..

I've always wanted to run the Cambridge 1/2 & it was always my intention to raise money for Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust (ACT) but particularly for the R2 Ward for Stroke & Rehabilitation. Just over 3 years ago my Nanna suffered a stroke which left her partially paralysed, with speech impediments & a severe loss of appetite. If it wasn't for this ward & their wonderful staff, we would've lost her there & then but instead she was blessed with another 3 precious years, making her 91 before she sadly passed earlier in January 2017.

I am running in memory of her, with respect to her many philanthropic deeds to charity & in tribute to her loving, larger than life personality. I am hoping that no matter great or small the sum, that the money I raise would make a difference to another person's life affected by Stroke, that some of it could help the ward & the staff there carry out their life saving work.

Help me help them, god bless & thank you xx

About the charity

We want to ensure that every patient at Addenbrooke's and the Rosie hospitals experiences the highest quality of care available. We raise funds for cutting edge technology, additional specialist staff and extra comforts for patients, over and above what is possible with NHS funding alone.
