fundraising events, taking place on 17 August 2018:

Changeworks’ staff are cycling Scotland’s North Coast 500 miles in 12 hours, on 5 bikes, without leaving the office. We’re also organising a Sweet ‘n’ Savoury Bake Challenge with competition prizes for the best bicycle-themed cake and the best tasting item in show.

Help us reach our £5,000 target to help people with motor
neurone disease (MND). A lot of the money raised goes towards research to find a cure for future people affected.

About Ruth

Our colleague and friend Ruth Williamson (pictured above with daughter Anna) was diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND) in 2017. MND is a rapidly progressing terminal illness, which stops signals from the brain reaching the muscles. By donating money you are showing your support for Ruth and people like her affected by MND in Scotland, and will fund vital research to help take us a step closer to finding a cure for future people affected.

Changeworks wants to fundraise £5,000 for MND by cycling
Scotland’s North Coast 500 miles in 12 hours, on 5 bikes, without leaving the office, and by baking treats, on 17 August 2018. Environmental charity Changeworks’ will match the amount raised, so every penny you donate will effectively be doubled.

The difference your support makes

We are only able to support people affected by Motor
Neurone Disease (MND) in Scotland, and fund research to take us a step closer to finding a cure, because of you.

• £10 could provide a Patient Information Pack giving the
  best quality of information to someone with MND and their family
• £50 could help us to deliver essential equipment to someone
  living with MND
• £250 could fund a Support Group meeting for people affected
  by MND
• £500 could pay for a Time Out Grant, helping people access
  respite care or to go on a last family holiday
• £750 could enable someone with MND and their carer to have
  a course of Complementary Therapy
• £1,500 could pay for an eye gaze device, giving someone the
  power to communicate using only their eyes.

The Changeworks team: Changeworks staff in our Edinburgh and
Inverness offices will take part in our Cycle Challenge and Bake Challenge to raise money for MND Scotland.
