CHANGE YOUR LIFE seeks to engage goverment agencies involved in criminal justice system in Kenya and inspire community action and suport to improve the effectiveness of rehabilitation and reintegration of ex-prisoners intiatives in Kenya, by providing consultancy support, training, informatiom and advice on crime prevention and offender management for community safety and partnerships.
Kelvin Mwikya, an ex-prisoner, who is a pioneer in the field of aftercare and rehabilitation of offenders in Kenya and a Community Offender Reintegration Specialist started the Change Your Life Prison Project after working with released prisoners for over 7 years in different intiatives in partnership with Prisons and Probation departments in the office of the vice President and ministry of Home Affairs in Kenya.
Kelvin Mwikya was nominated for Inspired Individuals Intiative, a program of Tearfund in 2009, and again was among five Nominees for International Guardian development achievement Award - 2011, In 2008, Kelvin Mwikya was appointed by the vice President as a member of a taskforce to help the Goverment on developing an Aftercare Policy and a Draft Parliamentary Bill on Aftercare of offenders in Kenya, he is a member of prison discharge Boards and Community service and probation orders boards in Kenya.
Kelvin Mwikya has a vision to inspire Reformed ex-prisoners to transform their communities in Africa.
