5k walk/run · 5 September 2010

Please use our new account at http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/charities/atsociety to create your online fundraising page. Ataxia-Telangiectasia is an inherited condition affecting children and young adults. It causes severe disability and early death. The A-T Society thank you for your support.

Story

Hi everybody, some of you will know all about why I'm doing this fundraising walk/run but for those of you that don't here is a brief summary...

My little two and a half year old niece Brooke has recently been diagnosed with a rare disease called A-T ( Ataxia- Telangiectasia).

She is one of the  youngest children in the country to be diagnosed with this disease.

In brief a little bit about the disease...

A-T is a rare, neurodegenerative, genetic disease which affects many parts of the body causing severe disability in young children and premature death.

The A-T Society is a charity which helps children and families learn and cope with what is to come. They offer practical and emotional advice to the families, they fund medical research, support two A-T clinics and much more. The charity is run mostly by fundraising and regular donations.

I am planning a fundraising 5k run/walk at the UEA on September 5th. Anyone can join in, donate or just come along for support.

If you would like to take part or would like more information you can email me at chantellebishop@hotmail.co.uk.
