In January 2020, my beautiful daughter, Lula-Mae, passed away unexpectedly. No parent can ever prepare for that kind of heartbreak.

In the days that followed, Gully’s Place at Poole Hospital gave us the precious gift of time. They provided a private suite where we could stay with Lula-Mae, hold her, make memories, take photographs, create keepsakes, and say goodbye surrounded by love. They supported us through the most devastating moments of our lives and helped us make memories that we will treasure forever.

Lula-Mae will always be a huge part of my life, and I wanted to do something in her memory. That’s why I am running the 2026 Bournemouth Half Marathon and raising money for University Hospitals Dorset NHS Charity, which supports Gully’s Place and the incredible work they do for families facing unimaginable loss.

Every donation, no matter how small, will help support other families when they need it most.
