Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
8 years ago I had my son, Alex. He is a joy. However childbirth caused me to slip discs, led to osteo arthritis, mobility problems and gaining weight. I was 20 stones at my heaviest! Over the years things have improved gradually and I am now armed with the knowledge to exercise safely and am currently on a Lite for Life course via GP referral to get my weight into a healthy range. I am determined that my injuries will not stop me from doing what I love. I have always been a fitness fan whether it was my own personal routine, at university when I was a fitness instructor or working in schools when teaching ( I still taught the odd aerobics class in PE lessons ). It is my love to exercise to music. I now love spinning and swimming. I am looking to finally conquer my food issues and reap the full benefits of my exercise programme by completing this challenge. Hopefully it will set me up for the rest of my life ! ....I have a scary/funny 'before' photo ! If you want to see it please sponsor me :) So far I have lost 2 stones and have possibly another 2 stones to lose but I will be measuring myself as well and looking to reach my happy place weight allowing for all the training I do. Hopefully a happier 'after photo too.
Most people who know me and my family are aware that wearing Irlen lenses has transformed my life giving me hope when I thought there was non. Irlen lenses have enabled my to stop have epilepsy, to drive - yay! and given me job opportunities. ABC for Reading help our family and others to access Irlen lenses.
