Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page in support of Cancer Research UK.

A couple of years ago, a legend and much loved member of our football club was diagnosed with cancer whilst undergoing treatment for another illness.  

Fortunately for him, he was offered treatment with the 'AMAZING' NHS and after a short stay in hospital, he was returned home safe and well to his family.  

And happily for us, after a period of recuperation he was able to return to playing football for our club, making a massive contribution to a successful trophy winning season!

To say thank you to all of the people that helped him on his journey and to pay tribute to those that aren't as fortunate with their own treatments, we have arranged a football match between the current Chapeltown RBL FC squad and a team of the legends from previous seasons.

With your support, we aim to raise as much money as possible, to be donated to Cancer Research UK, to help fund the vital research they do to find treatments and cures for future sufferers of these diseases.
