Stephen Guild (Stevie) a loving husband, father, son, brother, friend, boss and football coach died of a brain tumour on 06/08/2012 he was only 49 years old, he fought with courage and dignity until the end. He became ill on 3 April 2011 having suffered a seizure. We received the devastating news that he had a brain tumour following a CT can on 8 May 2011. My dad was loved and respected by everyone who knew him, he loved life. His diagnosis of a GBM in May 2011 was a terrible blow to all who knew him and turned our world upside down, he was focused as ever on fighting this devastating disease and fought with so much courage and determination.
Brain Tumour Research is woefully under-funded and we are trying to do our part to raise some money and awareness. Only 0.7% of cancer research is spend researching brain tumours. Brain tumours kills. Life expectancy for people with brain tumours has not increased in 40 years. Their aim is to raise £7m per year to help fight brain tumours so please support us in this effort.
